Also to teach them different language and how to make certain desserts . Which 21st Century Skill do you feel this assignment addresses, and why? I feel like my junior project addresses Global Awareness because I got to demonstrate my own culture through food and dances to 6th grade students . What are you most proud of from this assignment, and why? I am most proud of how the class went , the students were very kind and respectful learning about my culture . They enjoyed learning the dances and having and open mind about trying different foods. How did you develop and/or improve upon your 21st Century Skill with this assignment? I improved global awareness skills by embracing the 6th grade students culturals . I got to understand where they are from and there favorite food. What was most difficult about completing this task? The most difficult about completing this task would have to be the part when my club turn out to be un successful . No one turn up on the deck , but Ms. Cassie and I thought of plan B to teach a 6th grade class about embracing cultures , language and foods. How could you improve this work? If you could start over, what would you do different? I wouldn't do anything differently I am proud of my culture and I got to show the students that there values are excepted and being different is accepted . How does this relate to what you have learned in the past? This relates when I felt embarrassed as a kid for being the only kid who has a different meal then my other friends and they made fun of it . I would cry to my mom saying I wanted lunchables . Until my kindergarten teacher told me to never be embarrassed of your cultures food . She has taught me to never judge but have a open mind . How can you apply this to future learning? I can apply this towards if I want to major in education , I got to teach a class about culture and maybe I can become a teacher. |
